Among many projects with Green Map, version 2 of the mobile application was, perhaps, the most valuable and innovative. Working on a tight budget and with goals of large scale accessibility, we chose to develop the iPhone specific app with standard web technologies so as to re-purpose it as a cross-platform mobile web site. A Javascript, CSS, and PHP structure was built upon Green Map's already flourishing Drupal-based interface to allow for easy mobile access to location based green site searching and site addition features.

Utilizing the service, AppMakr, we integrated these features into the Green Map iPhone app, accompanied by feeds of our maps, mapmakers, blogs, videos, and tweets from all over the globe. We also developed a rotating advertisement space for which to seek sponsorship.
